Johan Sebastian Bach gave the title Das Wohltemperierte Klavier to a book of Preludes and Fugues in all 24 keys, major and minor, dated 1722; a second book with Preludes and Fugues in the same keys appeared 20 years later. During 2021 - 2022, in collaboration with pianist Marcel Worms, the artist created a series of paintings, in oil on canvas as well as in acrylic paint on paper, related to J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier while listening to and following the music. The diptych WTK I & II, represents a colour scheme of the 2x 24 sets of Preludes and Fugues of WTK book 1 (left) and WTK book 2 (right), with the division of colours according to the doctrine of affects (German: "Affektenlehre") that each key in music represents a characteristic mood - here subjectively translated by the artist to colour.
