The focal point of this painting are the figures in the upper right are sharing an intimate moment of auditory bliss. The rabbit senses the reverberations, causing it to leap, or rather fly.
The other figures represent our hidden selves (from the right): the one whose fear of intimacy causes flight, the one whose uncertainty creates a need for control, the one who gives up, and the inner child who guards our innocence.
The muse is also seen touching the neck of the main figure — not in an aggressive way, but with gentle affection. She is momentarily holding back his voice in order to focus his attention on the gifts the symphony offers.
Painted on a cradled wood panel, ready to hang.
