Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields was inspired by the Beatles song and Cirque de Soleil show in Las Vegas. During the show this inspiration hit and I had to start sketching as soon as I left. I love the play of pinks and movement throughout the piece. It measures 14x26 and is mounted on up-cycled cabinet door and framed in an oil rubbed bronze finish

The color palette ranges from deep maroon to bright white, with many shades of pink and red in between. The inclusion of numerous circles adds to the artwork's dynamism, as they intersect with the lines and appear to be in a state of gentle motion. The overall impression is one of abstract warmth, inviting contemplation and personal interpretation.
