Bold and intriguing mixed media work on canvas. The large energetic swirl of blue adds a key dynamic contrast with the more subdued background of greys, ochre and black. The use of newsprint in a variety of scale adds great drama and texture. The whole surface is complex, with scraping back and building up of layers and scorings all adding to the surface history of the artwork.
