This oil painting by American primitive landscape painter Gertrude Rogers depicts the rolling hills of Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania, hence the artwork's name, "Pleasant Valley".
This painting was obtained by Donald and Angela Dietz when they purchased their home at 115 Riggs Road in Severna Park, MD, from Gertrude Rogers in the early 1980's.
This artwork was stored in an attic and contains damage to the oil paint surface from over heating, as well as there is tissue stuck to the front of the painting that was lying on the painting surface when it was discovered in the Dietz's Florida residence attic in 2019.
