"Captive Splendor" is a body of work that stages photographs of zoo animals--most with survival issues-- within images of the Thorne Miniature Rooms (on permanent exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago). Part dollhouse, part theatrical set, part tableaux, the reimagined rooms juxtapose the wild with the cultivated.
