This was a project to cement the memories of all the beautiful beaches I've had the pleasure of enjoying in my life.

The color blue is the color I use the most in my painting. This was an opportunity to see what would result if I stayed with this limited palette while I worked. Would they be emotionally 'blue' paintings or would I respond differently with each one. I was quite happy with the result that I went from 'Reminiscing' to 'Ages Collide." This covered a whole range of emotions.

I have been doodling as long as I can remember. All through my school years, I kept my hands busy decorating all my notebooks and to this day will still pick up whatever pen and pencil is near me to doodle while on the telephone, or watching television. So many different marks and patterns can be made and every canvas I start will have some marks on it. Making marks is a very important part of my process. A friend of mine calls them "the exclamation point of your painting."
