Cantaloupe Island

This bold, loose abstract sings with intense color and energy. The dominant sharp lemon yellow is in contrast to the complementary secondary lavender and blue purples. A touch of shocking pink and orange in the center focus the composition. It was inspired by the title of a piece written by Herbie Hancock recorded on the 1964 album called Empyrean Islands. Cantaloupe Island suggests hot, noisy tropical islands buzzing with the calls of the market.
