Classes and workshops at the San Francisco Art Institute, Anderson Ranch Art Center, City College of San Francisco and Colorado Mountain College have enhanced her art making studies. She served as a founding board member of the Oxbow School, the Kenyon Review, Trustee of the San Francisco Art Institute, the Gund Gallery of Kenyon College, and the Artemis Rising Foundation.
Statement
Her work is a combination of place and how it takes her into the unknown and the atmospheric realm. Her palette, forms and point of view transform with the influence of changing environments. The colors, light, smells are experienced in the development of her work. During the creative process her goal is to transmute her subconscious into beauty, embracing resistance. Her work allows her to enter a portal, a creative meditative space—a balance between control and accident.
