This body of work allows me to explore memories from my childhood and dreams I wrote down from 1995 to 1997 in playful way. The illustrative quality connects to comics, graphic novels, and children’s books. It provides a balance to the more tedious and time-consuming creative processes of my other abstract work. The main idea behind this work is how memory works. I find it increasingly more difficult to separate reality from dream in certain memories of my childhood. It is also quite therapeutic and helps me to address issues.
